Sustainable development and particularly environmental protection have always played an essential role in Soléou's values, commitments and products. This approach is firmly rooted in its positioning and strengthened by developments such as today's innovation in cardboard.

Soléou has been contributing to the PACA region's economic development since 1965.

Our commitment as citizens

Above and beyond its business activity, Soléou is aware of its responsibility to the surrounding world. This is clearly illustrated by its signature in 2003 and commitment to the 10 principles of the UN's Global Compact concerning human rights, working standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption. Soléou is one of the few small companies that has committed to the Global Compact, alongside larger groups and multinationals.

Our contribution to well-being and healthy living

Our creative spirit builds on the diversity and intensity of flavours and aromas:

- with 100% vegetable products,
- with an Innovation Department that selects and blends Nature's aromas to create new flavours,
- products that make the «kitchen sing», revolving around a convivial, simple way of life that is close to nature.



Our products are the reflection of the Mediterranean diet (the importance of anti-oxidants) and a healthy and sustainable way of living, with:

- a large selection of different olive oils to vary tastes and pleasures,
- a wide range of olives and tapenades including Provencal varieties like Picholine and Lucque,
- serving suggestions for our products that are inspired by this Mediterranean way of cooking.

The Mediterranean diet, a convivial style of eating and living, is based on healthy, balanced and simple food.
 

Our pact with Nature

Soléou encourages natural production methods which preserve the earth's biodiversity and ecosystems. We favour organic agriculture through:

- the creation of precise specifications with suppliers,
- a range of organic products developed since 1998, which today represent nearly half the sales of the SOLEOU brand.

Soléou has developed this environmental approach on its production site with:

- an environmental commitment charter for the company and its employees; optimisation of waste sorting and recycling; reduced packaging policy.
- a policy to reduce energy consumption (water, gas, electricity) using a monthly tracking report and a corrective action plan (e.g.: meter installation).
- research into more economical packaging that is more environmentally friendly through our eco-design approach.
